These are woodcuts. Each print is made by first cutting and sanding a block of wood,
and then cutting the negative of the image into the block. The block is then inked,
paper applied, and then hand rubbed to transfer the image to the paper.
I was first introduced to printing (woodcuts, etchings, etc) in Spring of 2008, and
have been printing on a regular basis since January 2009.
The paper:
These prints are typically printed on Japanese kozo (mulberry) paper. I try to keep
the prints in a fairly standard size (6x9, 5x7, etc) so that if you should so choose
to frame them, you can use a standard sized mat and frame.
Each print typically has a 2" margin with a 2 1/2" margin on the bottom, unless
otherwise noted.
Want a copy?
Some people like my prints. Someday I'll have one of those handy pay-pal buttons,
but until then, email me at jared.t.boehm@gmail.com. Most prints are under $10,
with $5 for shipping. If you're outside the United States, we'll talk. I'm not
in this to get rich -- I'd only get disappointed.
